CNY 2007
At my grandma's place now, dont know what to do.The relatives (mainly the aunties) are outside playing the all-time favourite activities of the family, MAHJONG!! From New Year's eve till now, 4 days in a row. In fact, I cant recall anybody from my maternal family who dont know how to play the 148 tiles. Not as if we are the gamblers family or what, just that mahjong is a game to gather everybody around, updating each other our lives, sharing gossips, etc. And also to keep grandma accompany. They said that this beautiful game can help old people minds be more active and alert, and help to prevent them from turning senile. Seems like it makes sense huh??However, this game makes people turn addictive. Take a look at cousie Estelle. Ever since she picked up this habit last Xmas, she will find means and ways to find kakis to play with her. Still trying to improve her skills before she starts to play with the aunties. (Whaha.. All the best Estelle!!~) I also paid alot of school fees before I finally mastered the art of MJ k!!CNY is also the time where we I visit my paternal side of family. The relatives and long distance cousies that I get to see them only once or twice a year, on Day 1. Of course, they will ask the same old set of questions over and over again.
"Aiyoh, long time no see. Getting prettier and prettier leh.."(Cant possibly say that u grow uglier right??)"Now got bf anot??" If NO, they will continue to ask, "Why no bf?? Or you too picky is it?? -_-")....................If YESH, they will probe further,"Then when getting married?? I waiting for your wedding dinner for so long.."
So tell me, is it better to answer them back? Or simply anyhow give them an answer to shut their mouths from asking any further. :)Having to work on 2nd day of CNY is sucky. Wake up at dawn to start preparing for flight, when most of you at 6am in the morning is either deep asleep in your dreamyland or just came back from happening activites, is one of the miserable things that can happen to you. Luckily its just a short BKK turn ard, so I shouldnt complaint too much also. Oops!!Friends and relatives came over to my place on the 3rd day, turning my place "upside down". Place too small to accomodate so many people, so its abit squeezy. FYI, seldom have Open House at my place cos we arent around most of the time. So pardon me for my poor hospitality if I'd not been a good host. Well, have been taking alot of photos and cam-whoring with anybody and everybody. Not to forget, with my favourite toy, my Polaroid! Will upload the photos soon. Too busy and tired recently for these nitty-gritty stuffs.The hectic schedule past few days had made me fall sick once again. Cough and flu bugs start to attack me again. Haiz...*Cough cough* :(
