...Tai-tai wannabes...
Anyway, was happy to see Vivi too! Even though we extended the time that we supposed to meet for 30 minutes, she'a late as usual. Tell me whats new? We then proceeded to Marriott Hotel lounge for high-tea. Our tai-tai wannabe session. Updating each other the latest and hottest gossips thats happening. Small chit-chat "ba gua" session. Hehe. Was glad to hear that she's going to upgrade herself and pursue her degree. Jia you Vivi!! (You have my greatest support!) Walked around Far East Plaza for awhile before we bid each other goodbye. Im on my way to my part 6 celebration while she went home. Wanted to go Zouk that night, but our dear Mambo kakis, "Rich Girl" Nana was too tired after returning from a turn around flight. Oh yah, thanks for your pressie Vivi!! Remember to send me your roster regularly so that we can meet up often. Muackz!
Part 6 @ Waraku Japanese Restaurant-Marina Square

...family dinner...
Well, just a simple dinner with my grandma, Aunt Angie and my family. I have to recommend Waraku!! Its becoming my next favourite restaurant, after Anderson Black Angus. Go to the Marina Square branch. Their food served is better, staff are friendlier and more approachable. However, do make your bookings in advance to avoid looooooong queue.
Part 7 @ Billy Bombers-Heeren
Headed down to town to get my bdae pressie. A nice and latest bracelet from T&C, chosen by my bestie no. 2, Lindy. She always has good taste in everything, and I know I can count on her when it comes to advise. From fashion to sports, studies to relationship. She's like my twin, know what I want, understand how I feel, without me saying a word. "You thinking what Im thinking??" *hugz* Proceeded to Billy Bombers for dinner, after hesitating on where to eat. Its also a gathering for us since Lynnette is finally back for good from Brissy. Our regular mahjong kakis, the square table is so empty without you. And so, they came up to my place for a game. Mum forgot to buy dice and know how did we played in the end? We used 2 candy, wrap them up as a cube and write numbers over it. Still managed to play lar, but the dice could never exceed more than 13. I wonder why too. Too bad didnt take any photo of our "magical dices". Hehe.
Ruifan was supposed to learn and serve us drinks, but left the earliest cos of school the next day. Felicity ended up being the sole winner, winning all our money. Nette from win alot, to lose the most after sitting my luncky spot. Dy got improvement in her skills too, thats something commendable! Haha. And now I know where's the feng shui place to win the most money and of course, the most unluckiest spot which I will prevent at all cost in future. What about me?? Lose also lar. Haha.

Part 8 @ Swensens-T2
Gotta dragged myself out of bed at 10am in the morning, to go back to airport for brunch with my ex-82D teammies. Lyna was supposed to join us, but last minute changed flight to Taipei nightstop. Why back to aiport T2, you may ask? Cos our dearest LSS Celest just returned from her flight and thats the only timing that we could meet up cos she's super busy with EVERYTHING. Its great to see her in her "ninja turtle" suit and she looks fanstatic in it! Matt was back flying, after being on medical leave for almost 6 months, for injuring his back. Wedding bells will be heard soon in July for Matt and Sam! So happy for them. REJOICE!!
Part 9 @ Hogs Breath-Holland V
Still in close contacts with my ex-IBMer colleagues. Will meet up for dinner whenever any of our member's bdae is around the corner. CNY will be spent at either one's house and Xmas is the biggest occasion that we'll celebrate, where we'll organise party at a hotel room. Oriental, Pan Pacific, Swissotel, Fullerton suite. Where next this year?? And we always have a theme for our Xmas party. Leathery, A-go-go, Glamorous, etc. Big Head Leon always kena forfeited for not obliging to the theme and Ah Beng Terence always amuse us with his funny Hokkien verse and songs. Heard that Bollywood is comng up next. We shall see. Looking forward to it.
Mummy Irin couldnt make it for dinner cos of her 2 little devils at home. Career woman Maglin and Gigi-Leong-lookalike Chloe couldnt make it too, cos they were busy packing stuffs in their new boutique shop opening the next day. Had to leave early for my assignment while the rest went to part 2 celebration at Clarke Quay. The group is slowly expanding, everyone started to settle down and start their own family. And maybe because age is catching us on them too, they prefer to relac at coffee joints rather than clubs with the noisy music.
...thanks for the sunflower guys...
Perfect 10 Steamboat @ My Place!
Finally, the last bdae celebration was with The Gals. Theme this year is to have home cooked food at the bdae girl's place, prepared by the bdae girl itself. Steamboat is the safest and the easiest to prepare. Okie, I played cheat. Mum did the cooking and most of the preparation, the soup base, dessert and even cooked a pot of Mee Siam for the girls. They stayed in my room chit chatting and laughing over how to pronounce the word "A-S-Y-L-U-M". Haha....2 HUGE feng shou ang baos...
...cam-whoring polaroids...
pressies from my Gaultier darlings. *hugz*

welcome to club 23!!
Part 3 @ St. James-Dragonfly
Received a last minute sms from cousie Winston for bdae celebration countdown at St. James. Not again, I thought. Was referring to the birthday boy being KO and the nonsense he's gonna create when he's drunk. True enough, he was drunk. AGAIN!! In the presence of my other sec school friends. The rubbish that he uttered, super tah-glam lor!! Whaha.. Okie, but I think all of us had too much to drink. Fancy 12 of us opened 6 bottles of Hennesy. Siao boh.. They drank like a fish and as if they have 4 kidneys like cows. Those guys are really crazy! For once, I down my liquor with green tea. The jasmine "ah-nei" taste. Yucks! Rather than to trouble people for other mixer, I just drank with green tea. Just not my cup of tea. Eeeeeee...
..that fun and crazy night..
00:00 sharp, strings of warm-hearted bdae wishes started to flood my inbox. Received my first bdae phone call from my dearest Drew. Muackz!!
Part 4 @ One Rochester Park
Just a simple and quiet dinner with my Drew. Explored the whole place as it was my virgin visit. Heard so much reviews and comments about this place from newspapers and magazines. Quite a nice place to chill out. We've picked North Border restaurant for some western cuisine. Friendly staff. Good service. Nice ambience. Assorted sauteed mushroom is a must-try as a starter! However, price is slightly steep. Overall rating: GOOD. Bring your partner next time for a nice and romantic dinner or some friends for a glass of wine to chill.
Everybody is soooo concern about the progress of me and my Drew.
All: "So how did you celebrate your bdae with your bf? Where did you all go?"
Me: "One Rochester Park for dinner. Just the 2 of us."
All: "Wah, so romantic! And what did he get you for your bdae?"
Me: "Nothing. Not yet, I mean. He's busy with his exams right now."
All: "Huh?! Excuse lar. How can dont give present?"
Me: "He's really busy with his revision. Moreover, he PROMISED to have a 2nd celebration with me after his exams. A nice dinner together with my present, as a compensation for spending so little time with me." =)
All: "Oh, thats better. So are you happy with him?"
Me: "What do you think?"
All: "Must be lar. See you everyday so happy, so smiley!"
P/S: Dr Ang, dont forget your promise wor~ Hehe..
