Arranged to meet up with James (Ah Pek) and Jeffrey (Ah Bo), for dinner. But due to our hectic schedule, we meet up at a ktv pub where Ah Pek is currently working. Liquid Gold at Prinsep Place. Been there a couple of times, lady boss quite like me though. But too bad everytime I dropped by, she wasnt around. The bunch of "Genki sabotagers" were around too, after not seeing them for 4 years. It comes a long way how I get to know this bunch of guys....

I knew Ah Bo when I was sweet 16. First time met him at Boat Quay, introduced by my bestie Dy. Enter the same poly TP, took different course but signed up for Japanese Elementary module together. If schedule permits, will meet up with him during our breakies.

One day, when I was working in Genki Sushi TM, this group of guys walked in. Ah Pek, Jacky, Derrick and Jason. They were teasing me cos I gotta say "Irrashaimase", which means welcome in Japanese. As I proceed to serve them, taking their meal orders, they make fun of me, say my face blushing so pinky very cute lar, trying to pronounce the welcome word correctly lar, making me damn embarrassed! I cursed and swear in my mind for serving this group of lousy customers! Gods knows that they are Ah Bo's sec sch friends and they are best of friends! Coincidentally, all of us studied in the same poly! So Ah Bo introduced them to me. But was only close to Ah Pek and Ah Bo. From that day onwards, everytime we meet up for gatherings, it will always be at Genki Sushi. Whaha..

In fact, among all my guy friends, Ah Pek is the only one who will send me my favourite red roses, on my birthday every year. There was once he sent a big bouquet to my place during Valentines' Day and my ex-bf thought it was given by my secret admirer. Whaha.. He's just being nice lar, knowing that Im a flower fanatic. Hehe.. Last year, I was rather upset that got no beau to celebrate V-day with. Worst thing was on duties to fly to Melbourne. Was chatting with Ah Pek the day before I departed and told him how I felt. He assured me that my prince charming will be coming soon. "But what if 5 years down the road, still nobody wants me?" I asked a stupid question. "Aiyah, with ur calibre, sure got people want one lar. Nobody dates you, then I date you lor!" He replied with a smile.

Sometimes, all you need is such a sentence to melt your heart, isnt it? Say only lar, the 3 of us will always be the best of friends. Who says guys and gal cant have pure platonic friendship? Well, it happens on us anyway. :)
