Typhoon. Heatwave.
I just got back from the mall. Im chao tar lor!! My 2 feet are burning. My skin feels tight suddenly. Im slowly emerging into a piece of dark chocolate. Believe me, its only a matter of time. Its 39 degree celcius outside now. Freaking sun is like biting on my skin, makes my lip crack, giving me muscle aches and sun burnt, making me sleepy more than ever. Its scorching hot lor!! Im more whiney and complaint over the slightest thing. Stupid weather. Is it because of global warming, that makes summer all over the world
HOTTER and
WARMER than before? Cant stand hot weather. Arrrggghhh!!
The 2 drastic weathers, in 2 different continents, 2 different countries are driving me nuts. Over in Taipei, we experienced typhoon, strong wind and continuous rain which almost stoppd us from flying over to the OC. I was worried at first because Uncle Roland and family was waiting for me at Anaheim. My overloaded 31kg!! cargo bag (filled to the brim with all their barangs) must arrived by hook or by crook!! Luckily we made it.
Its always nice to meet up with your relatives oversea, catching up with our lives. Updating them the well-being of everybody, the things happening at home, etc. I felt bad for they gotta drove 7 hours from San Francisco just to meet up with me (and to collect their priceless barangs of cos!). I would have love to change for HKG-SFO or even ICN-SFO, all because of the "top 10" crew on my flight, which obviously made us super on the ball at all times. I mean, come on lar, TPE-LAX is supposed to be a happy flight k. Why must there be such people on the flight?!! -_-" Haiz.. Life is such..
Time was spent driving around from one mall to another. Nothing except SHOP and EAT, followed by another round of SHOPPING and more EATTING. Finding the best foodies like the MUST TRY Phillipe's French Dipped Sandwich, the famous Pink's Hotdogs, Singapore Banana Leaf. They found all these places watching the food channel and since they drove all the way down from SFO, might as well find the food while twe travelled. Other than queueing up for freebies, makan-ing and sourcing nice foodies is Singaporean's favourite past time no. 2! Even though they've been here for the past 12 years, Singaporean traits are still inside them.
Dinner was at this korean town, (which we had difficulties finding at first) with great BBQ and seafood hotpot. Still miss Brother in SFO. They served the BEST korean food I ever had in my life! Not even the ones in Seoul can beat them. Uncle Roland promised to bring me there for dinner next time Im in SFO. Great hospitality I received here. I felt so welcomed!! So please, give me any SFO flight anytime!!
Going to pack my bag now before I depart for Taipei. Didnt do much shopping in LAX too cos I've 8 handbags to be brought back to Singapore for all the aunties and cousin. Took up half the space of my cargo bag, not to mention my stuff leh. Damned!!
I guess till the day I stop flying, is the day I stop being a part-time DHL courier woman. =)
