Celebration Part 1: Prawning & Dinner at Fish n Co.Went prawning with the girls on 8th March. Due to my roster clashed with Shulin, have no choice but to celebrate way so early. Chose prawning because none of us had tried it before. Supposed to meet at 2pm. Then, postponed to 330pm. Then further postponed to 5pm. By the time we reached Sin Ming Avenue for prawning was already past 530pm.And because we have dinner appointment at 7pm, we can only prawn for 1 hour. =(
Its quite fun. We were each given a rod with chicken heart as bait. Just like fishing, must have lotsa patience.

Seriously, I think we are lousy. Some kids did better than us. Despite me changing to another pool, hoping to try better luck there, this young boy stood at my previous place, and caught a huge prawn within 5 minutes. =(
The owner threw in a pool of prawns near where we were standing. Makes us super happy and excited!!
After 45 minutes of prawning, YM caught her first catch of the day. And also the one and only cath among our group.

5 of us. 5 rods. 1 hour. Spent 75 bucks. But only 1 pathetic prawn!! See, I told you we sucked right??
The boss see us also laughed. Seeing that it's our first attempt, he was so kind that he gave us a bag of about 1kg of prawns! We brought the prawns back to Serene's place at night, and her parents brought it to her uncle's zi-char place for stir fried sambal prawns!! Yummy..

Celebration Part 2: Dinner @ Shokudo Japanese restaurant
Met up with my dearest Lian and Matthew. Had late dinner at this restaurant. Concept theme is very much like Marche. Each person will be issued a card to purchase food. Will be penalised 100 bucks if you lose the card. Lian was so paranoid till she kept reminding us to keep our card properly, not to lose it.
"Keep properly hor. 100 bucks leh!!" Haha..
We ordered so much food.
Omu-rice with chicken cutlet. Sashimi. Oden. Handroll. Chawanmushi. Miso soup. Fried ebi rice. Gyoza. Yakitori. Sake. Green tea ice-cream with mochi.
Very innovative idea and concept. Can feel the japanese ambience. I like!!

Celebration Part 3: .....................
One of the ugliest birthday I ever had. My lower left lip cracked and kena cold sore. Went to visit doctor on the actual day. Doctor said will need at least 1 week to heal. Argh!!
Bee refused to tell me where we were going for celebration. Only said that he had planned everything out. Went to town to get my favourite chocolate cake. Small slice but just nice for the 2 of us. Wanted to catch a show at Vivo City, but the timing is neither here nor there.

So while we were chatting happily in the car, we drove up to Sentosa. Looking at the map and the places of interest, and also must take note of the timing, Bee suggested that we go Underwater World. The real NIGHTMARE started when we need to find parking lot.
Bee wanted to park at Rasa Sentosa, which was just a stone's throw away from Underwater World. This stupid security guard or rather bell boy staff, refused to let us park our car after Bee told him that he had made a reservation at one of the restaurant. (Which he did made a reservation, just that I didnt know). This rude staff then demanded that we showed him a LETTER of reservation. (Where the hell got reservation for restaurant need what letter one?!!)
Bee: Can you call the restaurant and made an enquiry?
Staff: No cannot. No letter I cant let you park your car.
Bee: Then can you call the front desk and ask?
Staff: No cannot.
By then, Bee got abit fed up.
Bee: Never mind I drive up and ask. Btw, your service is damn lousy.
*Staff stop our car and challenge Bee*
Staff: What you mean by our management lousy? What you mean my service lousy?!!
Bee: Okie bro, cool down. I just want to park my car thats all.
Staff: Cool down my LJ lar. *point middle finger at us and swear*
2 other staff witnessed the whole incident.
By then, Bee got really angry and pissed and drove all the way up to complaint.
The Guest Service Leader spoke to the both of them and found out the whole situation. That stupid guy admitted that he did challenged Bee to a fight but still didnt apologise. In fact, he continued to give a fucked up attitude, saying
"So what case has settled? Nothing happened to me also."
Wah. Still can be so yah-yah. Super ANGRY lor.
The story continued. And because of this incident led to a quarrel between me and Bee. Made me cry on my birthday somemore!! @#$%#$@$^#
The worst thing is, Bee made a mistake! The restaurant is supposed to be at BEAUFORT, not RASA SENTOSA! Lost my entire mood and appetite for the WELL PLANNED dinner.
So we left Sentosa for his plan B. He wanted to make up to another restaurant at Fullerton. But when we drove past West Coast, he suddenly recalled that I wanted to try out this korean bbq restaurant. And so, we ended up having our dinner there.
Maybe because I heard so many great reviews about this restaurant. Maybe also because the mood was spoilt, the food there was so-so only leh.
But then, Sentosa/Fullerton compared to this so-so korean restaurant is a HUGE difference lor
Or maybe I was soooooooooooooo looking forward to this special day of mine, that I placed so much hope and expectation on it.
I knew Bee really put in alot of effort. Despite in the midst of exams and final year project, he still gotta do so much plannings just to make me happy. But still all things didnt went as smoothly as he thought.
Haiz. Enough said. Luckily there is a makeup celebration after his exams. Which will be coming soon!! Haha..

Celebration Part 4: Cafe Cartel & Istana Park
It used to be group of 5. But I totally gave up on the other 2. One is so busy working that she has no time to attend all our gatherings. The other one seems always last minute fly aeroplane. Or rather should I say, cant be bothered at all. Even if she's around in town also never attend.
Haiz. I gave up on her.
But luckily, I still have these 2 best friends who went through thick and thin with me during our secondary school days, shed tears and blood with me. Remember the times when we would combined all our money together to have big feast. Whahaa..
When we were Secondary 2, during Valentines's Day, the 3 of us went out to celebrate V-Day together. Walked around Orchard Road and settled for dinner at Sizzler. Quite difficult to get a table for 3 because we were the only odd one out. Haha..
During CNY, we would call one another and tele-conference at the strike of midnight.
Every Saturday travelled all the way to Bukit Batoh, to have English tuition together.
Taking nonsensical photos together at the void deck of Dy's place.
Mini BBQ sessions outside Dy's corridor.
Working part time together at IBM. Had lunch together everyday.
Movies marathon. There was once, Dy and me watched 2 shows in a row at Toa Payoh Entertainment Centre.
Taking neo prints or photo cards together, especially during special occasions, knowing that Im a photo fanatic and machines playing freak!
Most memorable part was, once I had cravings for you char kueh. Keep pestering Dy that I want to eat you char kueh. The next day, both of them skipped Technical class and went to buy for me as breakfast. Super touching lor.
This time round, they made my birthday so special, so memorable again.
Was supposed to meet up with RF at 730pm for dinner at PS. However she was late (as usual).
But this time round with SUPER valid reason. Because...
She was busy baking brownie birthday cake for me!! 超感动 lor!!
It was supposed to be a heart shaped brownie. But unforseen circumstances happened. So to salvage the situation, she printed my photo, added in a few words with a heart, to replace the missing part!!
On top of that, they bought me a white dress AND gave me an ang bao as my birthday present!!!
