We've finally met up!
After much discussion about when's the BEST date and timing, we've met up on a Monday evening. A pity that Feli flew to Paris on that night and we couldnt contact Nette in time. Well, too bad. Gotta compromise with RF's BUSY schedule cos she's now doing her attachment at SGH.
Oh yes! She'd graduated from her 2 years Nursing course and is now a true certified "WHITE ANGEL"!! Kudos to RF!!
"MISSY help! Im not feeling well... MISSY ar!!!!"Just joking. Hehe... =p
We had dinner at Ma Maison at Central Mall.
Ambiance = Good
Service = Good
Price = Reasonable
Food = EXCELLENT
Rating 8/10
We had the Fried Camembert Cheese with special sauce and the Butter Garlic Escargot as appetisers. The cheese was not too bad. Melts instantaneously on your first bite. Perfect sauce too. Not too sweet, not too much vinegar. But the escargot could have been better.
Hamburger Steak was Dy's and RF's favourite dish. Yes, and that japanese brown sauce goes sooooooooo well with the meat patty. Moist and extremely rich in flavours. Just the thought of it makes me drool..
Beef Straganov omu-rice was not too bad too. Well-seasoned lightly buttered rice rolled within the omelette. The sauce was just the right consistency, tasty not too saltish for my preference.
The Squid Ink Spaghetti, cooked al dente with mushrooms and onions would certainly not appeal to the uninitiated, given its all consuming ink black colour besmirching the devourer’s mouth, lips, teeth and tongue. Even though it blackened my entire mouth, BUT I LOVE THIS DISH THE MOST!!
(Note: Do not order this on your first date, unless you plan to ruin your date. Hehe..)Each table was given a huge golden key after all your food were served to make payment at the counter. Isnt it interesting? The best part was, Monday is their Ladies Night and there's 20% discount!! I'll definitely go back for sure. But I'll make sure that I make reservations on my next visit.
After dinner, we crossed over to Clarke Quay for desserts. Along the way, jokes were cracked and we were laughing our heads off at the bridge.
We settled for fondue at Haagen Daz. With MORE jokes and laughters.
I was testing them a couple of questions to see how much childhood do they have in them.
Qns. 1 "NAME the 6 classic princesses of Walt Disney"Dy: Snow White, Cinderella, Mermaid.Me: And what's their names?Dy: Snow White is Snow White. Cinderella is Cinderella. Mermaid is Ariel. Aladdin is Jasmine.RF: Beauty and the Beast.Me: Yah I know. Her name lar.RF: Oh, I know. Her name is Beauty lor.Me: -_-" Like that then Sleeping Beauty is Sleepy huh?!All: WHAHHAHAHAHHAMe: SB got name one. Give you a clue. It starts with an "A". This only proved 1 thing. BOTH OF THEM GOT NO CHILDHOOD!!
RF: 没有lor! 以前我是听 “三轮车,跑得快。上面坐个老太太.... 我们是中文版的, 不是Ang Moh 派的!!”-_-"""""
The way we sat so comfortably and the noise level that we created, probably attracted alot of attention at the shop. Which makes me think that the floor manager of HG likes us. Because on and off, he will come to our table, chit-chat with us and even offered to help us take polaroids! Even gave the 2 belated birthday gals a little surprise ice-cream when we were about to leave!!
Okie, I think he's just fascinated with my little orange toy. Even the
ang moh seated at the next table keep looking at our polaroids.

Holiday plans were made. Date was set. Destination was decided.
If nothing goes wrong, we should be going to either Krabi or Redang for water activities. It's been 8 years since the 4 of us last went on a trip together.
OMG! Cant wait cant wait any longer!!
