It feels awful..
Falling sick on board. Inconveniencing your colleagues who have to cover your duties. I feel bad for them doing extra work for me.
And its even more awful when you are outstation alone, all by yourself.
First, it was flu and sore throat. Fever started to kick in after I came back from my 4 hrs first-rest period. Ear blocked never failed to follow me whenever I have flu. The pain in my ears nearly sent tears down my cheeks again. But luckily it didnt. Oh yah, I forgot. ENT always come together in a package.
The moment I checked into the hotel in my 2nd home, London, I felt so sick that I had to take an hour nap first before I had the energy to crawl out of bed to unpack and shower.
Didnt see the doctor becos I think it was a waste of time and money. Nope I wasnt helping Uncle Sia to save money or what. Just that I had a very bad experience in seeing doctors outstation. Remember the 12hrs wait in Paris?
And so, I decided to be Dr Tan again (as usual)!! I took watever medication I had with me in my multi-purpose bag. Panadol. Comtrex. De-Cold SRFC tablets. Strepsils. Vitamin C together with lotsa lotsa water.
Guess what? I KO for 16hours lor. Power right?
Yup, Im feeling so much better now. Fever subsided, throat no longer pain. Only thing is flu bug is still attacking me, leaving me a damn sexy voice.
Arrgghhhhhhh.............
